2021 Season
Welcome to our community! We hope you enjoy this new season of gardening!
If you've never gardened in our community garden before, you can look forward to fresh veggies, cultural exchanges and new friendships among a diverse group of people. We welcome volunteers with all skill levels (or with no skills at all). We find gardening as an opportunity to learn and grow together.

March 2021
Private Plot Distribution
Our garden has 25 free private garden plots available for individuals and families. The plots are assigned on a first come basis giving priority to returning gardeners; email us or call us at (774) 234-RAYS to reserve your plot.
NOTE: Due to high demand we no longer have open plots available this season.
May - November 2021
Work Days
Work days are on Wednesdays at 3:00pm and the first Sunday of the month at 9:00 am. Workdays may change and are subject to weather conditions.Please come prepared with: clothes you can get dirty, closed toed shoes, water bottles and sun protection (hat and sunscreen) are a must. All tools are provided.

Teen Volunteer Program
Our program runs from summer to fall and provides high school students with an opportunity to become part of La Huerta Roots and Rays. While working in this positive environment, teens will have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours, give back to the community, and make new friends.
